Coconut Dishwashing Brush

This coconut dish brush from EcoCoconut is completely plastic-free. With this brush you can do some eco-friendly cleaning! It is effective in cleaning hard surfaces like hobs and ovens, and will remove leftover residues and mould. The brush is also ideal for cleaning pans and the rest of the dishes.

The bristles are made with durable coconut fibre, attached to a stainless steel wire. The handles on the brushes are made from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified recycled rubber trees grown in a plantation. At the end of their life the trees are replanted.

Coconut fibre, or coir as it is more commonly known, is a natural fibre extracted from between the hard internal shell of the coconut and the outer coat of the coconut. It is a byproduct of the coconut harvesting process, and is considered a renewable and sustainable product since new crops of coconuts can be regrown repeatedly on the same trees.

Coir's water resistant qualities makes it an ideal cleaning material that can be paired with any detergent or cleaning agent on any given surface or location. It cuts through tough grease, is naturally antibacterial and is safe on non stick surfaces.

Rinse the brush with water after each use and store in a dry place. On first few uses you may notice some loose fibres or ‘dust’ but these will reduce over time.
