  • A bottle you'll want to be seen with! This stainless steel tumbler comes with a handy removable filter that can be used to carry loose tea or fruit. The tumbler is designed to take coffee, tea and smoothies on-the-go and keep them at the right temperature. Hot drinks stay warm for up to 4 hours and cold drinks stay cold for up to 6 hours. Perfect for your daily coffee fix or for work.

Retulp bottles are made from leftover stainless steel, meaning no new raw materials have been used for its production. The cap and bottom of this stylish tumbler contain food-safe, BPA-free, plastic inserts. Now you may be thinking: plastic? Though we are committed to selling plastic-free products, these plastic items have been used for quality and durability. They ensure the tumbler is leak-proof and leaves no water rings. Unfortunately, recycled plastic is not food safe and has therefore not been used. Retulp has chosen not to use bio-based plastic due to its short lifespan, which is incompatible with a long-lasting, sustainable bottle. Retulp is looking for the perfect alternative to make the tumbler both leak-proof and completely plastic-free. Ideas? Let us or Retulp know!

    Fun Fact
Cardboard coffee cups contain a layer of plastic film to make them waterproof, which makes them difficult to recycle.

According to Milieu Centraal, a leading Dutch environmental organization, hundreds of thousands of single-use coffee and tea cups are disposed of every day in the Netherlands alone. Using your own tumbler is a great way to help you reduce waste.

    Mission Indisposable 2020
The plastic problem is growing every year, and yet plastic production is only increasing. This has an enormous impact on nature and the environment. That is why Retulp wants to close the plastic tap and open the drinking water tap again. Their goal for 2020: prevent 20 million single-use plastic bottles and donate 20 million liters of drinking water to people in need.

    How does Retulp approach this?
Retulp offers reusable bottles as an alternative to single use plastic. By regularly using a reusable bottle or mug, you can save dozens of disposables every year. By 2020, they want to avoid 20 million disposables, because prevention is more impactful than recycling.

Retulp donates 1000 times the content of your bottle or mug of drinking water to developing countries. Their target is to donate 20 million liters of water by 2020.

    Why Mission Indisposable 2020?
Retulp aims to prevent the use of unnecessary plastic. This is urgently needed! Did you know that the equivalent of one garbage truck full of plastic ends up in the world's oceans every minute? Plastic waste reaches the ocean through streets, ditches, rivers and the sea. Prevention– more than recycling– is the best way to keep plastic waste out of the environment. Currently, about 50% of plastic is thrown away immediately after use and only a small part of this waste is recycled. The rest can end up in our food chain. Fortunately, there are super practical alternatives to disposable plastics, such as reusable water bottles. Even so, approximately 500,000 water bottles are thrown away every day in the Netherlands. With Mission Indisposable 2020, Retulp wants to make this a thing of the past.
