Bamboo Toothbrush

No reviews

  • The bamboo toothbrushes from The Bamboo Brush Society ('TBBS') are made from sustainably sourced Moso bamboo. The bamboo is heat-treated to carbonize the surface, making handle water-resistant and naturally antibacterial. The handle is biodegradable.

The bristles are made of castor oil and nylon. The oil extracted from the plant is mixed with nylon. The bristles are therefore not completely biodegradable, due to the fact there is nylon inside, but they are currently the best option available on the market. The only biodegradable material available today is pig hair, but TBBS likes animals, so this is not an option for them. For the same reason, Zo Zero consciously chooses to offer toothbrushes with nylon. We believe this is currently the best available product.

TBBS works closely together with its manufacturers and is constantly seeking for environmentally-friendly alternatives, but until then remove the bristles for proper disposal!

With every purchase, TBBS donates a percentage to the Plastic Soup Foundation, which aims to put an end to the increasing amount of plastic polluting the ocean by tackling the issue at its sources.

These toothbrushes are also available in a set of four brushes, enough to keep you covered for a whole year!

    Fun Fact
Did you know that bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world There are more than 1500 species of bamboo. TBBS toothbrushes are made from Moso bamboo, a type that does not get eaten by pandas.

TBBS believes that bamboo offers many more possibilities with its versatility and is therefore constantly looking for new applications to replace traditional materials.
