About the brand: Bambu

Bambu's founders, Rachel and Jeff, are originally from the US but have lived and worked in Asia for many years. This is how they became familiar with renewable, indigenous raw materials such as bamboo. Rachel and Jeff fell in love with the many different ways bamboo is used, which inspired them to start Bambu in 2003.

In the past 20 years, Bambu has grown into a global company, but their mission never changed: to reduce our dependence on plastic by offering people a natural alternative. Rachel and Jeff live in China part-time so they can work directly with the local population. All products are sourced locally and the products are made by local woodworkers, weavers and seamstresses.

Bambu is a member of 1% For The Planet and is a B Corporation. Jeff and Rachel have proven with Bambu that the productions of products in China doesn't have to be a bad thing, as long as it's done in the right way.
