BeeBee & Leaf Wraps are a plastic free, planet-friendly alternative to cling film, plastic bags and plastic containers. The beeswax wraps are perfect for wrapping sandwiches, bread, fruit, vegetables, cheese, bowls of leftovers and for making pouches for nuts.
The smallest member of the BeeBee family now has its own gang in The Teeny Pack. The small wraps are perfect to wrap avocados, cucumber, lemons or wine bottles. Make them into pouches for snacks and cover left over food in ramekins.
The wraps are made of organic cotton infused with a mix of beeswax, resin and jojoba oil. Use the heat of your hands shape your BeeBee around bowls and food to create a breathable seal. Play around and feel how they are malleable when warm and hold their shape when cold. Just give them a wipe or scrub in cold soapy water and they’ll be ready for their next use. The wraps should last for around a year. The wraps are completely natural and compostable, helping to reduce plastic pollution towards a more sustainable life.
As well as being plastic-free and compostable, they are better at preserving many foods than plastic as they allow food to breathe. Without the build up of moisture in wrapped food there is less mould growth and food lasts longer so you waste less!
There are five beeswax wraps in this Ocean Collection pack in a mix of the prints Puffin, Sardines and Whale Pod.
GOTS certification ensures that the toxic chemicals commonly used in textile processing are not used, and nor are any pollutants which can destroy our eco-systems or damage health. This means healthier farmers, workers, and a happier planet, plus safer wraps for you to use with your food. GOTS certification also ensures that there is no GMO used in growing the cotton.
The wraps are dyed with GOTS certified organic dyes.
The beeswax is sourced from British bees whose keepers and farmers adhere to the Bee Farmers Association’s Welfare Code of Conduct.
Trace Your Wrap
From Bee to BeeBee - every single wrap that leaves BeeBee Wraps HQ has a batch number. This allows BeeBee to tell you the provenance story of each one. Keep your packaging and the batch number will tell you where the cotton was grown, when it was made and even where the beeswax came from in the UK.
The packaging of BeeBee Wraps is plastic free and printed on recycled paper. So the paper has been through the system at least once before. Plus, originally, it was sourced from sustainable forests.
End of Life
At the end of their useful life, we recommend composting your wraps in an active compost heap or using them as a firelight on your wood-burning stove or BBQ! Old beeswax wraps are great for lighting your barbecue or campfire without the use of chemicals.
