Body Cream With Date Seeds

No reviews

  • Soothe and hydrate your skin with this delicious UpCircle nourishing body cream! This natural body moisturiser is produced with date seeds, shea butter, linseed and olive oil. Therefore, it is perfect to calm irritation and redness. This fast-absorbing body cream that spreads easily across the skin has a lovely fresh citrusy smell and makes your skin soft and surprisingly supple.

    Date Seeds
UpCircle gives ingredients that would otherwise be discarded a second chance. The body cream is made with the extract of leftover date seeds, a by-product of date farming. Date seeds are considered a “super seed”. The extract is very high in antioxidants and acts as an anti-inflammatory. It also helps to minimise the appearance of thin blood vessels, making it a great treatment for varicose veins.

    Shea Butter
A skin superfood extracted from the seed of the African Karite tree, shea butter is naturally high in Vitamins A, E and essential fatty acids. This cream is blended with unrefined raw shea butter to deeply moisturise the skin.

    Line Seed Oil
The fatty acids in linseed oil act to balance out the skin’s own oils and reduce any inflammation, helping the skin to repair. Its anti-inflammatory properties help to minimise any irritation of the skin or redness, so it can also help in soothing sunburn.

    How to use
Apply in the morning or evening on cleansed and dried skin. Massage the product gently into the skin with circular motions. The body cream is suitable for all skin types.

Use the UpCircle metal scoops to simply apply the body cream without having to use your fingers.

The body cream comes in a glass jar with an aluminium lid. There is a plastic liner inside the aluminium lid which makes the bottle leakproof and airtight. It also helps to preserve the product longer and protect the lid from the essential oils within the body cream. Essential oils can cause aluminium to oxidise (meaning it develops a black coating) which can spoil the product. At present, there is no suitable alternative. We recommend reusing the jar as much as you can and if you do throw them away, recycle the plastic liner separately. The packaging is fully recyclable.

About the brand

In 2016, UpCircle siblings Will and Anna quit their jobs and risked it all to nurture and grow their by-product beauty baby. The circular economy sits at the heart of what UpCircle does. UpCircle hints at ‘upcycling’, the process of making something better from things that already exist. The UpCircle mission is to leave the world better than they found it by transforming ingredients that would otherwise be discarded into natural, organic beauty products.

Each product in UpCircle’s range sources and rescues by-products from other industries – the food and drink industry in particular. The UpCircle story started with the idea of giving used coffee grounds a new lease of life. UpCircle now also gives chai tea spices and fruit stones a new beginning. At UpCircle nothing is safe from being UpCircled! Food ingredients can have powerful effects on the body - inside and out – so there’s an opportunity to create beauty products from food ingredients that are being discarded yet still have much to offer our skin.

UpCircle uses only the finest plant-based ingredients, and never test on animals. The packaging across UpCircle’s range is 99% plastic-free and they offer plastic-free refill options for the 1%.
