Face Mask With Kaolin Clay

  • The gentle and smooth detoxifying face mask from UpCircle helps to reduce blackheads, minimise the appearance of pores and also prevent breakouts. Using it leaves your skin feeling cleansed and balanced. This natural clarifying face mask has a fresh and calming scent and is suitable for all skin types. The olive powder used is combined with reinvigorating white kaolin clay, coconut powder and baobab oil.

    Olive Powder
UpCircle gives ingredients that would otherwise be discarded a second chance by adding them to their natural facial care products. This face mask is made with the finely-ground powder of discarded olive stones, a natural by-product of the olive oil industry. The powder is a powerful anti-inflammatory and can reduce redness. It also helps with the dispersion of the end product.

    Kaolin Clay
Kaolin, one of the most gentle clays, removes impurities from the skin without causing irritation. This in turn helps to minimise the appearance of pores and banishes blackheads, leaving the skin clear and clean.

    Organic Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is most well-known for its ability to help soothe and hydrate the skin, particularly if you were in the sun for a little too long! It contains antioxidants, enzymes, Vitamins A and C, and is highly anti-inflammatory. The moisturizing effects of aloe vera can help alleviate dry, itchy skin associated with eczema and psoriasis.

    Curcuma Longa
Turmeric acts as a strong antibacterial and antiseptic agent, leaving the skin looking and feeling refreshed and bright! Turmeric oil is also known to improve the skin’s resilience and help diminish the appearance of blemishes.

    How to use
Apply the mask to damp skin in a thin layer and let it sit for ten minutes. Rinse with warm water or a damp cloth to reveal fresh and clean skin. Suitable for several uses per week.

Use the UpCircle metal scoops to simply apply the face mask without having to use your fingers.

    Beat the Microbead - Microplastics
UpCircle's face mask has the'Look for the Zero - Zero Plastic Inside''Look for the Zero - Zero Plastic Inside' logo from Beat the Microbead.

    Packaging
This face mask comes in a glass jar with an aluminium lid. The packaging is fully recyclable. There is a plastic liner in the cap which makes the bottle leakproof and airtight. It also helps preserve the product longer and protect the lid from the essential oils. Essential oils can cause aluminium to oxidise (meaning it develops a black coating) which can spoil the product. At present, there is no suitable alternative. We recommend reusing the bottles as much as you can and if you do throw them away, recycle the plastic liner separately.

UpCircle

In 2016, UpCircle siblings Will and Anna quit their jobs and risked it all to nurture and grow their by-product beauty baby. The circular economy sits at the heart of what UpCircle does. UpCircle hints at ‘upcycling’, the process of making something better from things that already exist. The UpCircle mission is to leave the world better than they found it by transforming ingredients that would otherwise be discarded into natural, organic beauty products.

Each product in UpCircle’s range sources and rescues by-products from other industries – the food and drink industry in particular. The UpCircle story started with the idea of giving used coffee grounds a new lease of life. UpCircle now also gives chai tea spices and fruit stones a new beginning. At UpCircle nothing is safe from being UpCircled! Food ingredients can have powerful effects on the body - inside and out – so there’s an opportunity to create beauty products from food ingredients that are being discarded yet still have much to offer our skin.

UpCircle uses only the finest plant-based ingredients, and never test on animals. The packaging across UpCircle’s range is 99% plastic-free and they offer plastic-free refill options for the 1%.
