Antioxidant-rich coffee extract
The eye cream is produced with coffee oil that is extracted from repurposed grounds. Coffee is full of skin-friendly components, including antioxidants like good old Vitamin E. High amounts of Vitamin E and other essential nutrients found in coffee help to soothe and moisturise your skin. Caffeine is one of the most popular ingredients you can use to reduce eye puffiness and dark circles. Its anti-inflammatory properties decrease swelling by constricting blood vessels under the eye.

Maple bark extract
UpCircle gives ingredients that would otherwise be discarded a second chance by adding them to their natural facial care products. This cream is made with maple bark extract. It is a by-product of the wood industry, sourced from maple forests in Southern Quebec in Canada. Being the protective “skin” of the tree, UpCircle uses the bark with the same purpose: to protect and nourish our skin. The maple extract is rich in antioxidants and acts as an anti-inflammatory, meaning that it reduces redness and helps skin appear brighter. It also helps strengthen the skin barrier and boost collagen production.

Cucumber extract
Another ingredient in this eye cream is cucumber extract which is considered a skin superfood. Cucumber slices are often placed over the eyes during facials as the ingredient is extremely gentle, and therefore great to use on the sensitive skin around the eyes! It is also an astringent, meaning it tightens and firms your skin to revitalize it and help reduce the appearance of ageing signs. Cucumber extract contains proteins, lipids, Vitamin C, and a variety of minerals, making it an ideal ingredient for helping to moisturise, soothe and relieve puffy skin.

How to use
Dab the product with your fingertips onto the delicate eye area and allow the cream to absorb into the skin.

Use both morning and night. The eye cream should be the first part of the moisturising section of your skincare routine. Suitable for all skin types and under make-up use.

Packaging
The eye cream comes in a glass jar with an aluminium lid. The packaging is fully recyclable. There is a plastic liner in the cap which makes the bottle leakproof and airtight. It also helps to preserve the product longer and protect the lid from the essential oils. Essential oils can cause aluminium to oxidise (meaning it develops a black coating) which can spoil the product. At present, there is no suitable alternative. We recommend reusing the bottles as much as you can and if you do throw them away, recycle the plastic liner separately.
