Face Toner with Hyaluronic Acid

  • This hydrating toner from UpCircle contains hyaluronic acid and chamomile extracts in order to soothe and make your skin look plumper. To include a toner in your skincare routine is a great way to help clean and close your pores, and can restore your skin’s pH. In addition, this balancing face toner has a heavenly-refreshingly citrus smell.

    Salicylic and hyaluronic acid
This stunning face toner is made with BHA salicylic acid as well as hyaluronic acid. Combined, they make wonders for your skin. Your pores are deeply cleaned but your face stays perfectly hydrated and balanced, preventing breakouts.

    Green Mandarin Water
UpCircle gives ingredients that would otherwise be discarded a second chance by adding them to their natural facial care products. Their toner is made with the anti-inflammatory residual water of green mandarin, a by-product of the juicing industry. Water is often the first ingredient in cosmetic products, making it a great target ingredient to replace with a more sustainable alternative to drinkable water. The minerals, vitamins, amino acids and functional actives present in the fruit waters have more benefits for the skin than filtered water. It is hydrating, refreshing and protective!

    Chamomile Stem Extract
This face toner is also made with skin-soothing chamomile stem extract, in this case, a by-product of the tea industry. The chamomile used is the German chamomile species that grows wild in Bulgaria. It has been used for centuries as a well-known herbal remedy for a range of skin conditions. It can be used to soothe irritation and inflammation and helps to heal wounds. Chamomile has anti-microbial, anti-allergenic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and analgesic properties. It can also improve blood flow and help the skin to appear brighter and revitalized.

    Mandarin Oil
Mandarin oil is rich in antioxidants, which prevent primary signs of ageing and skin cell damage. Mandarin oil also stimulates the growth of the latter, which in turn helps to even out skin tone. The circulation-boosting effects of this oil also result in a complexion that looks plumper and more radiant.

    How to use
Use this toner in the morning or evening after cleansing and before using your moisturiser. Apply to fingertips or cleansing pads and gently sweep over the face. If you are using a face scrub or mask, do it prior to using the toner.

It can also be used as a mist: spray on the face at any time to refresh.

    Packaging
This face toner comes in a glass bottle with a plastic spray nozzle. Now you may be thinking: plastic? Though we are committed to selling plastic-free products, for some of them we make a small exception. For your next order keep the spray head from your first bottle and select the refill option with aluminium cap.

There is a plastic liner in the cap which makes the bottle leakproof and airtight. It also helps to preserve the product longer and protect the lid from the essential oils in the toner. Essential oils can cause aluminium to oxidise (meaning it develops a black coating) which can spoil the product. At present, there is no suitable alternative. We recommend reusing the bottles as much as you can and if you do throw them away, recycle the plastic liner separately. The packaging is fully recyclable.

About the brand

UpCircle

In 2016, UpCircle siblings Will and Anna quit their jobs and risked it all to nurture and grow their by-product beauty baby. The circular economy sits at the heart of what UpCircle does. UpCircle hints at ‘upcycling’, the process of making something better from things that already exist. The UpCircle mission is to leave the world better than they found it by transforming ingredients that would otherwise be discarded into natural, organic beauty products.

Each product in UpCircle’s range sources and rescues by-products from other industries – the food and drink industry in particular. The UpCircle story started with the idea of giving used coffee grounds a new lease of life. UpCircle now also gives chai tea spices and fruit stones a new beginning. At UpCircle nothing is safe from being UpCircled! Food ingredients can have powerful effects on the body - inside and out – so there’s an opportunity to create beauty products from food ingredients that are being discarded yet still have much to offer our skin.

UpCircle uses only the finest plant-based ingredients, and never test on animals. The packaging across UpCircle’s range is 99% plastic-free and they offer plastic-free refill options for the 1%.
