What's behind Zo Zero's logo? Meet Zola!
Our logo is a logo that suits us well, with a playful and cheerful character. This is also how we stand in life and how we run Zo Zero. Not activist, but enthusiastic and driven to tackle the problem of the growing plastic soup in our oceans.
We believe that everyone can make a difference, based on the principle that every little bit helps and counts. We want to make avoiding single-use plastic and reducing waste easy and fun. We hope to motivate others to do their bit without feeling like they have to compensate for it. Why do we think this is so important? Because marine animals, from plankton to whales, eat plastic, our waste. That is why we want to work together to create a world with more fish than plastic in the sea.
One of these fish is Zola, our mascot! Zola means earth, so it's a fitting name. Zola is a whale shark, a rare, endangered species. The whale shark is the largest fish in the sea, but completely harmless to humans. A big friendly giant that swims through the sea like a vacuum cleaner, to suck up as much plankton and other tasty morsels as possible with its wide mouth. The best thing about Zola is that she symbolizes keeping the sea clean, but let's make sure she doesn't ingest any more plastic. Have you spotted Zola in our logo yet?

Wat leuk om te lezen, ooit gezwommen tussen de walvishaaien, wat een prachtige dieren. Ineens kwam er een omhoog toen ik er om heen wilde zwemmen en toen zat ik er bovenop. Best een spannend moment.
