Beat the Microbead - Zero Plastic Inside

Research shows that many more types of plastic are added to care products than just the 'classic' plastic microbeads. Did you know that there are already more than 500 microplastic ingredients used in cosmetics? And these are only the ingredients that are known. To be sure that cosmetic products are completely free of microplastic ingredients, you need a guarantee.

The Plastic Soup Foundation started the 'Beat the Microbead' campaign in 2012. The goal of the campaign is to prevent microplastics from personal care products from ending up in the environment. The 'Look for the Zero - Zero Plastic Inside' logo can be used by brands and companies that do not use microplastic ingredients. The logo is provided free of charge to cosmetics and personal care brands after they have shared their full list of ingredients with Beat the Microbead and signed the following statement: "We as a manufacturer declare that all our products of the brand [...] are 100% free of microplastic".

The products below have the 'Look for the Zero - Zero Plastic Inside' logo.
