Back in the early 2000s you couldn't buy reusable, stainless steel water bottles in the United States. Klean Kanteen, founded by brother and sister Michelle and Jeff, sold their first BPA free stainless steel bottle in 2004. Klean Kanteen has since then become an international brand and has inspired dozens of other companies to make reusable stainless steel products.
Klean Kanteen is a family and employee-owned B Corp. Klean Kanteen reduces their emissions from business practices as much as possible and offsets the emissions they are not yet able to eliminate. Also, they donate 1% of their gross sales through 1% for the Planet.
The Klean Kanteen family works hard to design durable, versatile, affordable products that replace mountains of single-use waste - and last a lifetime. All vessels are made from 18/8 (food grade) stainless steel and Klean Kanteen developed Klean Coat®: a chip-resistant, durable finish that is designed with care to stand up to your inspired life. By completely eliminating ingredients that adversely affect people and the environment they have created the cornerstone of truly clean reusable products.
