Not only are Terra Ties more environmentally friendly than standard hair ties, but they’re also thicker, more durable, and softer. Terra Ties are made of two renewable, 100% biodegradable resources: natural rubber extracted from rubber trees and organic cotton (dyed with natural dyes). Their packaging is also plastic-free and made with recycled materials.
With Terra Ties, people of all genders and ages (except for children under 3 years) can style their hair without harming the environment. Each package contains no less than 27 hair ties!
About the brand
Jamie founded Terra Ties in 2019 along with business partner, Jack. He came up with the idea after noticing hair ties scattered on the ground on city streets and in parks and he found out that standard hair ties are made of materials that do not easily decompose. He created an eco-friendly version which would biodegrade once lost or thrown away at the end of their life.
Jamie & Jack designed Terra Ties themselves in the United States. They work closely with their manufacturer in China who they visited themselves.
