This mild, calming and purifying facial mask from HelemaalShea contains Montmorillonite green clay, oatmeal and lavender buds. Montmorillonite green clay gently cleanses the skin, absorbs excess sebum and refines the pores. Colloidal oatmeal is calming, soothing and rich in antioxidants which might help reduce itches and inflammation. The lavender buds are soothing for the skin.
The Helemaal Shea face mask is suitable for those with normal to dry skin.
How to use
Mix two teaspoons of the mask with one teaspoon lukewarm water. If the mixture is too dry add a little more water. If it is too wet add some more powder. Apply a thin layer on the face and neck, avoid the skin around the eyes and mouth. Leave the mask on for 10 minutes and remove by washing thoroughly with lukewarm / warm water. Rinse with cold water. Use the mask once or twice a week for the best results.
Packaging
There is a plastic liner inside the recyclable aluminium lid which makes the tin leak proof and air tight. This also helps to preserve the product longer. We recommend reusing the tins as much as you can and if you do throw them away, recycle the plastic liner separately.
About the brand
HelemaalShea is a small soap factory located in De Rijp, North Holland. It's a small business that makes natural soap, shampoo bars and zero-waste skin care products by hand. All of HelemaalShea's products are vegan and made with natural ingredients. The ingredients used and the final product have not been tested on animals.
The natural soaps are handmade according to the cold process method. This method involves the mixing of vegetable oils and butters with lye, which causes a chemical reaction called saponification. Nothing remains of the lye after the saponification process and the drying period of the soap. The saponification process produces natural glycerine, which is found in every piece of cold process soap. The end result: a beautiful piece of soap!
