All of HelemaalShea's products are vegan and made with natural ingredients. The ingredients used and the final product have not been tested on animals.
The natural soaps are handmade according to the cold process method. This method involves the mixing of vegetable oils and butters with lye, which causes a chemical reaction called saponification. Nothing remains of the lye after the saponification process and the drying period of the soap. The saponification process produces natural glycerine, which is found in every piece of cold process soap. The end result: a beautiful piece of soap!
