Savon de Marseille
You can recognize the real Savon de Marseille soap by the logo of the 'Union des Professionnels du Savon de Marseille' (enclosed between the photos). This logo guarantees that the soap is made by boiling the natural vegetable oils in a traditional artisanal large cauldron in the Marseille region; without the addition of perfume, colorant and preservatives.
Instructions for use
This soap is a real all-purpose cleaner and can be used to make laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, all-purpose cleaner, hand soap or natural shampoo. It also works perfectly as a stain remover. There are many recipes online!
Laundry detergent
To make liquid detergent, grate the soap and boil it in water. Dissolve a handful of grated soap flakes in a liter of water and you have an environmentally friendly and economical detergent. Optionally add some baking soda and essential oil. Rub the soap bar over stubborn stains before washing.
Dish soap
To wash the dishes, you can cut or grate a piece of soap and dissolve it in water. Another handy option is to run your scouring pad or dish brush over the block and scrub away.
Stain remover
To remove a stain, moisten the Savon de Marseille slightly and rub the stain lightly. Leave to soak in for a while and then rinse with water.
