What touches our bodies matters. The premium everyday liners from &Sisters are made from certified organic cotton designed to improve your wellbeing. The liners are hypoallergenic and pH neutral, perfect for the sensitive skin. They are healthy and woven for maximum absorbency giving you a peace of mind.
Zero synthetics. Zero harmful chemicals. Zero perfumes. Zero Plastic.
The panty liners are made for better comfort: ultra-thin, soft and breathable. The liners are made from two ingredients: organic cotton and a waterproof backing sheet that ensures a clean and dry skin. This waterproof layer is made from a cornstarch bio-polymer which is certified compostable. The paper attached to the pad and panty liner is made from wood-pulp and is fully recyclable.
Now you may be thinking: bio-polymer, isn’t that plastic? You are right, bio-polymer is a bioplastic that ensures that the liners are leak proof. The advantage with bioplastic over traditional plastic is that it is made from renewable raw materials (cornstarch) and that it is compostable. Menstrual products need to be leak proof and hygienically packaged, making it difficult to find a plastic-free alternative. Cups and reusable pads does not work for everyone and we want sustainable menstrual products that suit everyone’s needs. As far as we are concerned, &SISTERS is currently the best alternative on the market. Do you have any suggestions? Let us know!
Organic cotton is naturally soft, pH-neutral, breathable and absorbent. The sustainably grown organic cotton is grown without the use of fertilisers, herbicides & pesticides. The cotton is purified with a completely Totally Chlorine Free (TCF) process, without any chlorine or dioxins!
HThe cotton is Soil Association Certification and Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified. GOTS is the leading governing body for organic textiles like cotton. GOTS certification ensures the cotton is ethically sourced and made without chemical pesticides, forced labour, child labour, or unfair wages.
The &Sisters liners are biodegradable and compostable. Organic cotton liners are considered brown compost (just like paper and cardboard). Brown compost needs more time to biodegrade than green post. To help them break down faster, it is recommended to cut them up with scissors before putting them into the compost. It can take about 18 months to fully decompose.
The liners are individually bio-wrapped.
