Palm oil-free products

Palm oil is an edible vegetable oil that comes from the fruit of oil palms. About 85% of the world's palm oil comes from Indonesia and Malaysia. Large areas of rainforest are cut down to create oil palm plantations, causing local people and endangered animals such as the orangutan to lose their habitat. Also  deforestation contributes to global warming through the huge amounts of CO2 released.

There are quality marks for 'sustainable palm oil', but from the report 'Destruction: Certified' from Greenpeace  turns out that companies, despite a sustainability label on their products, are still associated with the destruction of tropical rainforests. They are also often involved in human rights violations.

For this reason we have chosen not to offer any products with palm oil. All products on our website are completely free of palm oil.
