Shea Body Butter

This luxurious, creamy body butter from HelemaalShea is made from raw organic shea butter, jojoba oil and sweet almond oil. The butter has a specific nutty scent and an airy, creamy and luxurious texture. The body butter is suitable for dry to very dry skin.

The Helemaal Shea Butter is also very suitable as a hair mask. Shea butter is a natural conditioner, it improves the hair structure, moisturizes and stimulates hair growth and is especially effective for a dry scalp.

The body butter contains the following ingredients:

1. Raw shea butter is a natural fat extracted from the nuts of the shea tree, also known as the Karite tree, a typical African Savannah tree. Shea Butter contains fatty acids such as oleic, stearic, linoleic, linolenic, behenic, cinnamic and palmitic acids. The unique fatty acid profile of this Shea Butter combined with the high content of non-saponifiable fats gives this Shea Butter a very soothing effect, especially for very dry skin. Shea is also known for its positive contribution to the elasticity of the skin. It is rich in vitamin F, known for its regenerative effect on the skin.
2. Jojoba oil is actually not an oil but a wax. Jojoba oil has a unique profile that resembles the body's own sebum. It keeps the skin supple.
3. Sweet almond oil is a perfect moisturizer, rich in vitamins A and E.
4. Vitamin E oil has an anti-oxidative effect. It contributes to the protection of healthy cells and tissues against external influences such as air pollution and UV radiation.

How to use
Shea butter melts at a temperature of 31 °C making it very easy to smear on the skin and penetrates quickly.

Body
Take some shea butter from the tin with a spatula and let it melt between your fingers before applying to the skin. Application is easier with warm hands.

Hair
Apply a bit of the butter to dry hair. Start at the roots and work your way to the ends. Massage in well, comb through and let it sit for ten minutes or all night. Wash your hair normally to wash it out. Use as often as necessary depending on your hair type. Can also be used as a conditioner, use a little after washing, let it soak in and rinse.

For extra dry and frizzy hair, apply a small amount (really just a tiny bit) to clean hair before styling.

Packaging
There is a plastic liner inside the recyclable aluminium lid which makes the tin leak proof and air tight. This also helps to preserve the product longer. We recommend reusing the tins as much as you can and if you do throw them away, recycle the plastic liner separately.
