This sustainable bamboo toothbrush is made from renewable raw materials. The soft bristles ensure thorough cleaning of your teeth and protect your gums at the same time.
The bristles are available in three different hardnesses: this medium brush (in the colours neutral, red, light blue and green), extra soft (dark blue) and super soft (purple). The bristles of the purple toothbrush are specially designed for people with particularly sensitive gums.
The handle is made of Moso bamboo and is biodegradable. Moso bamboo is one of the fastest growing renewable resources on our planet. During its two-year growth phase, Moso bamboo reaches a height of up to 20 meters. Artificial irrigation, pesticides and other chemicals are not used in Hydrophil's bamboo cultivation.
The bio-based bristles are made from renewable raw materials and are therefore completely plant-based. They are made from castor oil, a naturally obtained oil from the seeds of the castor oil plant (Ricinus Communis). The castor oil is processed into organic nylon and is free of BPA and petroleum.
The bristles are made from the most environmentally friendly material available today. Unfortunately, they are still a form of plastic and cannot be composted under normal household conditions. Therefore, we recommend that you dispose of the bristles separately from the handle in the residual waste.
The solvent-free, coloured lacquers from the natural colour manufacturer AURO, which are used to colour the handles, are also ecological.
The toothbrushes also come in sets of four medium brushes (neutral, red, blue and green), enough to last you a whole year without having to worry about a new toothbrush!

Hydrophil
Hydrophil was founded by Christoph, Sebastian and Wanja, three friends from Hamburg. Their friendship was born out of their shared commitment to the aid organization Via con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V. The three friends wondered whether it would be possible to make products that were not only fair trade, sustainable and vegan, but that, given the increasing problems surrounding water scarcity, would also be produced water-neutrally.
This idea has grown into the Hydrophil brand. Hydrophil creates innovative and sustainable hygiene products. Where possible, Hydrophil uses raw materials that do not endanger the soil or drinking water and that do not require artificial irrigation. In this way, they significantly reduce water use. Hydrophil products also do not contain animal products and are not tested on animals. In addition, Hydrophil believes that everyone deserves a fair wage. They monitor their value chain down to the smallest detail and ensure that their products are produced fairly.
Hydrophil donates 10% of its profits to the aid organization Via con Agua de Sankt Pauli eV, which is committed to providing access to clean drinking water for people in countries in the global south.
