UpCircle’s Apricot Powder Cleansing Balm is perfect for gently removing makeup (including mascara), dirt, and impurities. The combination of apricot powder with skin-soothing blackcurrant, blue tansy, and sea buckthorn oil deeply cleanses, soothes, and hydrates the skin. The makeup remover balm has a delicious lemongrass scent and is suitable for all skin types.
Apricot powder
UpCircle gives 'waste' a second life by incorporating otherwise discarded ingredients into its natural skincare. This cleansing balm is made from the finely ground powder of discarded apricot kernels, a natural byproduct of the apricot oil industry, which is rich in antioxidant vitamin E. The presence of this powder promotes the ease with which the cream can be spread over the skin.
Sea buckthorn oil
Sea buckthorn oil is rich in vitamin E, C and omega 7 fatty acids. It helps the skin to maintain its elasticity. This naturally moisturizing oil keeps the skin hydrated and prevents dehydration and irritation.
Rosemary oil
Rosemary oil stimulates, oxygenates and refreshes the skin overall. It is antibacterial and helps prevent pimples. Rosemary oil is anti-inflammatory and works wonders for bags around the eyes.
Oat oil
Oat oil is rich in vitamin E, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, and antioxidants that protect your skin from harmful pollutants. Oat oil is known for its ability to soothe maturing, sensitive, and damaged skin and supports skin elasticity.
Instructions for use
Massage a coin-sized amount between your fingers and then onto your face in upward circular motions. Remove with a warm, damp cloth. The cleanser is suitable for daily use.
The balm is best used as a first cleanse to break down makeup, SPF, and any oils like sebum or sweat on the skin's surface. Follow with a water-based cleanser to remove any impurities trapped in the pores.
Use UpCircle's metal spatulas to easily scoop the balm out of the jar without using your fingers.
Beat the Microbead - Microplastics
UpCircle's facial cleansing balm features Beat the Microbead's 'Look for the Zero - Zero Plastic Inside' logo.
Packaging
Packaged in a glass jar with an aluminum lid. The packaging is fully recyclable. There is a plastic liner in the lid. This is to protect the aluminum lid from the essential oils in the cream. Essential oils can cause aluminum to oxidize (meaning it gets a black coating) which can spoil the product. There is currently no better alternative available. We recommend reusing the jars as much as possible. If you are throwing them away, remove the plastic liner from the lid and put it in the plastic waste.

UpCircle
UpCircle was founded in 2016 by twin brother and sister Will and Anna. The circular economy is at the heart of UpCircle’s approach. The name UpCircle refers to ‘upcycling’; the process of making something that already exists better. UpCircle’s mission is to leave the world better than it found it by transforming otherwise wasted ingredients into natural, organic beauty products.
Every product in UpCircle’s portfolio contains and rescues byproducts from other industries – specifically the food and beverage industry. The UpCircle story began with the idea of giving used coffee grounds a second life. In addition to coffee grounds, UpCircle is now also giving chai tea spices and fruit pits a new lease on life. Food ingredients can have powerful effects on the body – inside and out. This opens up the possibility of creating beauty products from food ingredients that would otherwise be thrown away, but that still have a lot to offer our skin.
UpCircle uses only the finest plant-based ingredients and never tests on animals. UpCircle products are 99% plastic-free in packaging, and for the remaining 1% they offer plastic-free refill options.
