The olive soap from Werfzeep is very mild due to the high percentage of olein (oleic acid) in olive oil. This makes it foam without large bubbles and it cares for your skin, it works hydrating and softening. Olive oil has been saponified for thousands of years.
Werfzeep saponifies cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil from Spain, together with home-distilled olive leaf hydrolate from Puglia. In the spring, Andreas from the beautiful Puglian organic olive grove La Lamia sends a huge supply of fresh olive leaves to Werfzeep. They distill this in their soap studio into wonderfully soothing and restorative olive leaf hydrolate.
The olive soap does not contain essential oils, which is nice if you do not like strong scents or are allergic to most essential oils. Olive soap is naturally free of allergens. Suitable for very sensitive skin.

Over Het Merk
Werfzeep
Werfzeep is an artisanal organic soap factory on the Westerkade in the heart of Utrecht. All Werfzeep soaps are plant-based and lovingly handmade. Werfzepen are wonderfully mild, caring shower soaps, full of nourishing oils and naturally occurring glycerine. What When it comes to Werfzeep, the power of a good, caring soap lies in its basis: the plant.
Werfzeep only works with organic ingredients with a good origin and does not add unnecessary substances. For the ingredients, Werfzeep works together with growers who share the same conviction and part of the plants are picked in the beloved Wickenburghse forest, near Utrecht. Here Werfzeep maintains their own soap herb garden and they harvest various ingredients that have been growing here for centuries.
Werfzeep never works with palm oil, animal fats or irritants such as perfume oil, dyes or foam improvers. Werfzeeps are biodegradable and of course not tested on animals.
