The production of organic cotton has a much smaller impact on the environment than the production of regular cotton. Organic cotton is grown without the use of pesticides and is processed without the use of chemicals. In addition, much less water is used. All in all, it is much better for the environment.

Additionally, all the washable pads and washable panty lines on our website are OEKO-TEX® certified. The menstrual products from &Sisters are GOTS certified. The certification proves that the product is free of harmful substances.

Leak Proof Layer
The washable pads and washable liners contain a thin layer of certified PUL (polyurethane laminate polyester) making them leak-proof. The single use pads and pantry liners contain a waterproof layer made from a biodegradable cornstarch bio-polymer.

Principally, we are not in favour of (bio)plastic, but this layer ensures that the menstrual products are leak-proof. As far as we are concerned, this is currently the best alternative on the market. There are many different types of washable menstrual products available, with varying sizes and absorbency capacity. Depending on your flow, you can choose:

• Thong - this version of the panty liner is specifically made for thongs. Suitable to wear on lighter days.

How do washable pads and panty liners work?

Washable pads and washable panty liners can be attached to your underwear with two snaps. There is also a snap free version without a button that you can fold around your underwear.

After use, you can throw the menstrual pads in the washing machine with the rest of your laundry or wash them by hand. Can't wash them right away? Then rinse the used pads well or soak them in water to prevent stubborn stains.

What to do while not at home?

You might be wondering what to do with your reusable cotton pads or panty liners when you're out and about, after all, we don't throw them in the trash every time after using them.
