Bamboo Toothbrush - Medium

Colour: Red
  • This sustainable bamboo toothbrush is made from renewable raw materials. The soft bristles ensure thorough cleansing of your teeth while also protecting your gums.

The bristles are available in three different variants: this medium brush (in the colours natural, red, light blue and green), extra soft (dark blue) and super soft (purple). The bristles of the purple toothbrush are designed to meet the needs of particularly sensitive gums.

The handle is made of Moso bamboo which is biodegradable. Moso bamboo is one of the fastest growing renewable resources on our planet. During its two-year growth phase, Moso bamboo reaches a height of up to 20 metres. Artificial irrigation is not used in Hydrophil's bamboo cultivation, nor are pesticides or other chemicals.

The bio-based bristles are made from renewable raw materials and are completely plantbased. They are obtained from castor oil. The oil obtained from the plant is processed into organic nylon and is free of BPA and petroleum.

The bristles are made from the most environmentally friendly material currently available. Unfortunately, they are still a form of plastic and cannot be composted under normal household conditions. We, therefore, recommend you to remove the bristles from the handle and dispose them in the general waste bin.

The solvent-free coloured lacquers of the natural colour manufacturer AURO, which are used to colour the handles, are also ecological.

These toothbrushes are also available in a set of four medium brushes (neutral, red, blue and green), enough to keep you covered for a whole year!

Hydrophil

Hydrophil is founded by Christoph, Sebastian en Wanja, three friends from Hamburg. Their friendship has arisen through their joint commitment to the aid organisation Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V. The three friends wondered whether it would be possible to produce products which are not only fairly traded, sustainable and vegan, but which, in view of the increasing problems around water scarcity, are also water neutral.

This idea became the brand Hydrophil. Hydrophil creates innovative and sustainable hygiene products. Where possible, Hydrophil uses resources which don't endanger ground or drinking water and don't require artificial irrigation. In this way they can significantly reduce water consumption and make people aware of it. Their products are vegan and cruelty free. Hydrophil believes that fair work deserves a fair reward. They keep an eye on their value chain down to the smallest detail and ensure that their products are produced fairly.

Hydrophil donates 10% of its profits to the non-profit association Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli e.V., which is committed to providing access to clean drinking water for people in countries of the global South.
