Eye Cream with Hyaluronic Acid & Coffee

No reviews

  • This wonderful eye cream from UpCircle is naturally made with coffee oil, maple bark extract, and cucumber. It was purposely created to reduce the appearance of dark circles as well as fine lines. Combined with hyaluronic acid, this coffee-scented cream will soothe your skin and make it look brighter, firmer and refreshed!

    Antioxidant-rich coffee extract
The eye cream is produced with coffee oil that is extracted from repurposed grounds. Coffee is full of skin-friendly components, including antioxidants like good old Vitamin E. High amounts of Vitamin E and other essential nutrients found in coffee help to soothe and moisturise your skin. Caffeine is one of the most popular ingredients you can use to reduce eye puffiness and dark circles. Its anti-inflammatory properties decrease swelling by constricting blood vessels under the eye.

    Maple bark extract
UpCircle gives ingredients that would otherwise be discarded a second chance. This cream is made with maple bark extract. It is a by-product of the wood industry, sourced from maple forests in Southern Quebec in Canada. Being the protective “skin” of the tree, UpCircle uses the bark with the same purpose: to protect and nourish our skin. The maple extract is rich in antioxidants and acts as an anti-inflammatory, meaning that it reduces redness and helps skin appear brighter. It also helps strengthen the skin barrier and boost collagen production.

    Cucumber extract
Another ingredient in this eye cream is cucumber extract which is considered a skin superfood. Cucumber slices are often placed over the eyes during facials as the ingredient is extremely gentle, and therefore great to use on the sensitive skin around the eyes! It is also an astringent, meaning it tightens and firms your skin to revitalize it and help reduce the appearance of ageing signs. Cucumber extract contains proteins, lipids, Vitamin C, and a variety of minerals, making it an ideal ingredient for helping to moisturise, soothe and relieve puffy skin.

    How to use
Press the pump once to release the cream. Dab the product with your fingertips onto the delicate eye area and allow the cream to absorb into the skin.

Use both morning and night. The eye cream should be the first part of the moisturising section of your skincare routine. Suitable for all skin types and under make-up use.

    Packaging
This eye cream comes in a glass bottle with a plastic pump. Now you may be thinking: plastic? Though we are committed to selling plastic-free products, for some products we make a small exception. For your next order keep the pump from your first bottle and select the refill option with aluminium cap.

There is a plastic liner in the cap which makes the bottle leakproof and airtight. It also helps to preserve the product longer and protect the lid from the essential oils in the cream. Essential oils can cause aluminium to oxidise (meaning it develops a black coating) which can spoil the product. At present, there is no suitable alternative. We recommend reusing the bottles as much as you can and if you do throw them away, recycle the plastic liner separately. The packaging is fully recyclable.

About the brand

UpCircle

In 2016, UpCircle siblings Will and Anna quit their jobs and risked it all to nurture and grow their by-product beauty baby. The circular economy sits at the heart of what UpCircle does. UpCircle hints at ‘upcycling’, the process of making something better from things that already exist. The UpCircle mission is to leave the world better than they found it by transforming ingredients that would otherwise be discarded into natural, organic beauty products.

Each product in UpCircle’s range sources and rescues by-products from other industries – the food and drink industry in particular. The UpCircle story started with the idea of giving used coffee grounds a new lease of life. UpCircle now also gives chai tea spices and fruit stones a new beginning. At UpCircle nothing is safe from being UpCircled! Food ingredients can have powerful effects on the body - inside and out – so there’s an opportunity to create beauty products from food ingredients that are being discarded yet still have much to offer our skin.

UpCircle uses only the finest plant-based ingredients, and never test on animals. The packaging across UpCircle’s range is 99% plastic-free and they offer plastic-free refill options for the 1%.
